The Website Quote Request Form: Turning Site Visitors Into Pressure Washing Estimates
A homeowner looking for a pressure washer at 9pm is not going to call. They are going to fill out a form, or move on to the next website. Your website quote request form is the front door for those customers, and what happens after they hit submit decides whether they become a job or just a name in an inbox.
The Form Is the First Step of the Quote
Templates speed up the quote itself, as covered in Estimate Templates for Pressure Washing: Quoting Your Common Jobs in a Few Clicks. The request form is what starts the process in the first place.
In PressureWashingBossPro, requests from your website request form flow into Form Responses. The office opens Form Responses, sees every new request in one place and turns each one into an estimate. No digging through email, no copying from a contact form notification into a spreadsheet.
What a Good Request Gives You
A good request is short enough that people finish it and detailed enough that you can quote from it. The essentials:
- Name, phone and email. So you can reach them the way they prefer.
- Service address. The most important field. With the address, you can measure the property from satellite.
- What they want cleaned. Checkboxes work well: house, roof, driveway, walks, patio, deck, fence, gutters.
- A comments box. For stains, timing, gate codes or anything else they want to tell you.
Optional extras like stories and siding type are useful but can be asked later. Every extra field loses a few people. Get the address and the services, and you can find out the rest.
From Request to Estimate
Once a request lands in Form Responses, the quoting workflow is the same as for a phone call:
- Find the address on the property map and switch to the satellite view.
- Measure the driveway, walks, roof or fence for square or linear feet.
- Pick a template or build the estimate from your service list.
- Fill in the job details: surfaces, square feet, stories, siding, method and access notes.
- Send the estimate for the customer to approve online.
If something is unclear, a quick text from the office with two-way texting fills the gap: “Thanks for the request! Is your house one or two stories, and is the siding vinyl?”
Speed Is Everything
A website request is often one of several the customer sent that night. The company that replies first, with a real number, has a big head start. Aim to get an estimate out the same day the request comes in, or first thing the next morning for late-night requests.
Having every request in one place helps. The office can check Form Responses a few times a day and see exactly what is waiting. Nothing sits in a personal inbox while the owner is on a roof. More on that in Speed to Quote: Getting a Pressure Washing Estimate Out the Same Day.
Watch for duplicates too. A customer who fills out your form and then calls the next morning should end up with one estimate, not two. Check whether the address is already a client before you start a new quote. If they are, the measurements and access notes from past work are already there, and the new estimate is even faster to build. Returning customers asking for a quote are the easiest yes you will get all season, so treat them that way.
Requests Versus Sign-Ups
The request form is for customers who want a quote. Some customers already know what they want and are ready to buy, especially for simple, standard services. For them, there is the sign-up form, where customers pick services and pricing and save a card. Both flow into Form Responses, so the office handles them in the same place.
A good rule of thumb: use the request form for anything that needs measuring or judgment, like house washes, roofs and big flatwork jobs. Use the sign-up form for set-price services, like a yearly house wash for a returning customer or a standard-size driveway clean.
Make the Form Easy to Find
A form only works if people see it. Put a “Get a Free Quote” button at the top of every page, on every service page and in your social media profiles. Mention what happens next: “We will send you an estimate, usually the same day, that you can approve online.” Setting that expectation makes people more likely to fill it out and more likely to watch for your reply.
